What is your favorite MJ studio album? Most of my favorite songs are on other albums, but I really love the Blood on the Dancefloor album. Those songs never fail to make me move and smile while I'm doing it! I work out to that album.

Gosh, I don't know what my favorite studio album is. I am in LOVE with Invincible, Off the Wall, Dangerous, BOTD, Bad, HIStory, Thriller.... Ok, did you say only one??? LOL Too hard to pick just one, I love parts of them all, there's so much great music to be had by our Michael that it's too tough to choose. Besides, I adored each of them as they came out, because of the time we were living in. But they are all stand alone albums even today, they are timeless and nothing is dated at all. Even Bad, which is very heavy on the eighties sounds and synths, is still timeless for the most part.
I guess with everything Michael, I'm LOVIN' EVERY YUMMY MINUTE OF IT~! Suzmary |

While I love most of Michael's albums, my favorite is Invincible right now. In my opinion, it's his most mature work, showing his progression as an artist- his incredible vocal and emotional range, his amazing talents as a songwriter and composer.
It also proved once and for all that Michael stayed contemporary- which was was always such a silly comment of haters (that he was "outdated"). |
Oh, my gosh BJ, I totally agree. I'm so sick of hearing people talk about him like he hadn't made music in over 20 years, when look how much music he made, and all of it fresh and valid and awesome! Everything but Invincible broke major records, and that one didn't more because of Sony than Michael. I really love his maturity on there, too, and he had such a variety of sounds and styles, oooo I love his voice, too. Especially 2000 watts.
I know there was lively discussion on MJ Forum sometime back about 2000 watts and it's meaning and/or sexual suggestions, but I missed it and I can't find it and I don't want to go back 200 pages. What's the deal with this song, do you guys know??? |
Here is the link to the thread I posted a while back on the forum: one VERY detailed reply by CHel.
http://www.michaeljackson.com/us/node/536239 YUMMIE!!!!! Is all I can say 2000 Watts gives me hotflashes every time. And at the "highpost" remark my mind usually off replaying stories in my head. |
Oh, Bj,thanks for that link. Loved it, and LOVE LOVE LOVE that song. I think it's his voice, and it makes my legs shake, man does he sound so freakin' sexy, right?

I think the 3 portions of 2000 Watts represent foreplay, build up, then climax. Virtually everything he says has a double entendre. I think it's refreshing he went for such a driving beat and that he utilized his lower registers of his voice. It makes me think he really meant business! Mike is in control! Go'on girl!
|
Well, he could take control of me any day, especially if he talks like that, mmmmmm.
|
Oh wow ! So that's what the songs is about... ME LIKEY!!! I personally think he was thinking about ME when he wrote it... He knows I can go very verrrry low
Isn't it funny how almost all these innocent topics turned out to be about something naughty? :) |
Cuz Michael was waaaaaaay more naughty than we knew, I think! Definitely, as there's no way he did all those stage moves, the gold pants, the moans and sighs and finger rolling without some knowledge, that's for sure!

You know, Poetry In Motion, I was thinking about this question again yesterday. I was sitting there listening to the Invincible album in its entirety. There really isn't a single song on there I do not like. They are all REALLY good! That album is his most underrated, yet it was the most ambitious. He really took a step out there to add a thoroughly modern sound to his music. It paid off in my opinion.
|
If I HAD to choose just one, it would be the Dangerous album... I think..... Or the Bad album....Or maybe Off The Wall.....Or Thriller.....Or History.....Oooor Invincible..... There! I chose!

Hi, PlanetJackson. I am officially registered here. It is very cool by the way. Regarding a fave album, I love them all. Bad and Invincible have been the most played in my life though. I think I connect with those songs the most.

I have different MJ moods, too. I am a sucker for some of his love songs Maria. "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" and "Lady In My Life" are my absolute favorites. I would love to have someone serenade me with those. Actually, it would be better to have MJ sing them, but just think. If a man could really sing and he knew those were your favorites AND he actually MEANT the words to the song? Swoon!
|
Oh yes I Just can't stop L.Y is my favourite... just wondering if he sang it to me ( maybe some day, another time another place ) only him, because if another sang it to me I simply have to say : shut up you are damaging the song....
