Hey! Looks like we watch the same shows at the same time! I saw that episode, and i'm ashamed to say i didn't get it at first.
I often watch Jeopardy when I can, and yeah it's boring at times. Although there was another mentioning of Michael. I admit I didn't know what they were talking about, but then the answer said "King Of Pop" so go figure. LOL. The category was 'ABC Afterschool Special Stars,' which I'm shy a few years of being able have watched and remembered, needless to say, the series was before my time. Like you, PJ, I'm just glad they mentioned Michael! Anyway the answer went something like this:
In 1988, the King Of Pop played himself in 'Daddy Can't Read'
Who is... Michael Jackson?
Ah, yes! Good Times.
Now I've come back with two more ''Michael mentions.'' (I'm like a magnet for these kinds of things.) Coincidentally, they both occured on the same day, same network, around the same time.
The first invloves 50 cent on the View. He mentioned something about having his tattoos removed and went forward with showing the hosts and the audience his covered up tatts. It's the comment that he said which make me do a double take: "You see what they did with Michael they could do anything."
Now, I'm not sure they are talking about our Michael, but I couldn't help asking for the opinion of others on this little ''wheveryouwannacallit.''
The next invlolves Who Wants to be a Millionaire. This mentioning won't put you in a bad headspace (I hope); it was a question with Michael's name in it, but the answer wasn't all that important, if you don't mind me sayin'.
I don't remeber the exact question but it went something like: who co-wrote Michael Jackson's 2009 hit This Is It? The answer was Paul Anka.
Oh, yes. Most people had forgotten all about Paul until that song came out. 50 cent was probably talking about Michael. It's suddenly chic for stars to reference him. Was 50 serious about removing his tattoos? I'm shocked! I know Pharrell did it a while ago.
I want to be reincarnated as that microphone stand.
