Michael just refused to wear those earplugs

As I was watching TII for what must be the 137th time, I sat musing again about how Michael just refused to wear the ear plugs during rehearsal.  During much of the movie you see him dancing around with both of them dangling  by their cords like strange alien earrings.  

I don't blame him one bit.  It was his show and he was the only one there with over 40 years' stage experience.  If he said he didn't need them, then he didn't need them, KO be damned!

I totally agree.  I loved how he told KO that he would let him know if everything was adjusted to his liking, and then DID NOT put them back in. That was so funny!  Michael took passive aggressiveness to a new level- and I love him for it.  

He should have told Kenny to just kindly shut the eff up, he knew what he was doing.  Kenny is such a baby, and he's a total suck up, too.

That angry Mike, that sometimes simmered just below the surface, didn't have to tell him--he showed him.

I know!  He was always kind about it, but Michael did what he wanted to do regardless of what anyone else thought about it.  I love that about him.

I agree with that 100%Planet.  People are always trying to portray Michael as soft but he was anything but soft. Sensitive doesn't mean soft. It means caring..But Michael was very strong willed and to me that is a VERY SEXY quality. Very Sexy

I second that.  Very sexy.  Isn't that what a lot of women are always complaining about?  Their men aren't sensitive enough?  Well Michael was.  He was strong, and sensitive, and caring, and loving, and very much in control and it all makes for an incredible package of a man!

I watched TII Sunday evening - "it's like a fist... a fist"  I love the way Michael is in control. Yes, I wanted to tell Kenny to chill but then I would be talking to my television....but I never noticed the ear plugs before until last Sunday too. Everytime I watch TII, I see something that I missed before.   Michael was happy, I don't care what anyone says,
Michael was in his world.  I wish too that he could have performed that first show in London....man oh man what I would have given to see MJ in his element one last time

One of my favourite scenes from TII is the "Let It Simmer" scene..the way he throws his hands up in the air when the timing isn't quite right and he's like "You have to let it simmer....Bathe in the moonlight" he's totally in control there and he knows what he wants...verrrrrry sexy....oh and putting more "Booty" into the tune and he's like "thats funny".....ahhhh MJ there is only one of you ♥ xxxx

RachyL, that was one of my most prominent thoughts when I saw TII for the first time at the premiere:  how in control he was.  He truly ran the show.  For the first time, the world got to see how he crafted his productions from the ground up.  They were Michael's creations, and I loved it!

YES!- PJ! Which makes KO's annoying comments and pushing about things like the ear monitors even more annoying.

Kenny had lots of annoying comments; in fact, most of what he says is annoying, foppish, soppy and sucking up.  Jeez, grow a set, will ya?  But Michael totally plays him, or directs him, but makes him feel like it was his idea the whole time.  It's lovely to watch him at his craft, but even lovelier when he puts him in his place, and the shit head doesn't even know it.
