What made you become a fan?

The answer to the question would have to be, i have enjoyed Michaels music for years, he is a genius when it comes to creating music, lyrics that carry so much meaning, that affect so many people in so many different ways!
Its just everything about him, the way he looks, wow those curls!! (SWOON) The way he moves! all those crotch gropes and who could forget the famous moonwalk! He created such a presence on stage, he was able to capture his fans attention so much that i find i can't take my eyes of the screen when i'm watching, he draws you into the moment with him.
We can never forget that he performed for us his adoring fans, to show us how much he loved us!
He was a genius on all levels he could create the music, hit the notes, move the moves. There will never be anyone like Michael. I often wonder how he could speak in such a quiet gentle voice but once on stage sing with such power, feeling and emphasis! Wow i feel giddy talking about him like this.
Most of all you can't help but love all the wooohs, the voice exclamations, that so make Michael Jackson.
All the music videos created were and always will be brilliant, his imagination to create the unbelievable just overflowed!
He definately is one on his own! I know we his adoring fans miss him so much and words cannot describe reallly how we all feel but we can unite together sharing Michaels love through his music, his amazing talent, his love to put the planet back on track. he stood for so much he was an amazing person not just an artist, performer but a loving father who adored his family.
He never seemed artificial what you saw with Michael was what you got! he expressed his feelings through his music, i love him for having the balls to do that, so often people never really express how the feel.
I will love and cherish Michael forever and continue his legacy through his music, i hope he is at peace and can see from above how much we all love him!
I have to go now because i can feel the tears building, theres a lump in my throat!

what made me become a fan of Michael's  was  to be honest  "The Wiz" I've always like Micahel and thought he was cute (I was a lttle kid I only knew cute) But then I remember when my mom took my brother and me to go see it . I can honestly say that I came alive that day. From that moment i entered this world of fantasy and I as gone. I haven't been the same since. The way that he moved his voice , Michael's wonderment that he transferred through the scarecrow. I wanted to be that. I wanted to do that. I can honeslty say that tI fell in love . Michael has always amazed me from that point on

Tracey, I'm all late in replying to this, but here's the short version:

I don't remember ever "becoming" a fan, I just always was.  I grew up listening to Motown and the Jackson 5 (as an infant, of course).  My parents loved the Jacksons and played Off The Wall Constantly, so it became part of my consciousness.  Thriller is the first Michael album that I can remember liking independently on my own. I vividly remember watching the videos on MTv and learning the Thriller dance and all the words to all the songs on there.  It is still my favorite album and I still have that original vinyl copy my parents bought in 1982.  I fell in love with Michael then and have never stopped loving him!

I have always loved him.  I heard ABC on the radio in 1971, and that was it, my life was given over to Michael.  No regrets, either.
