YANA video- lets discuss...

Ok, let's have some discussion about the YANA video.  You know, the one with Michael and Lisa Marie....

Here is the painting said to have inspired it: Maxfield Parrish’s 1922 painting “Daybreak,”




So, what were Michael and Lisa wearing (if anything). Was there a Speedo or some sort of containment device for the beast under those drapes?  What about Lisa? Was she strolling around naked for all the set to see?  And how hard (ahem) must it have been to not attack that sexy husband of hers?  Had it been me....well...that set would have been closed every 10 minutes.  To get water, of course...
Also, if you watch the video on youtube (and I do not have enough time to post it now, but will later)- and you are good at lip reading, you will see what was whispered at one point...

Hmmmm, my first instinct, when I read the title of this thread, was LE'T'S NOT!  But you know that's just because I'm not a fan of LMP, but I find it interesting, the whole impetus for the video, and the fact that she went along with it.   She's a strong-willed owman, and I simply cannot see her agreeing to this.  Unless, UNLESS it was to piss her mother off, because then I can see her doing it, all the way.

I will watch the youtube, even though I don't want to, to see if she says that.  What time does it occur, if you don't mind telling me that?  So then I can only watch that part,e ven though I love the song.  I prefer to just hear it.

 I also wonder what made her do it.  I read he did not want to ask himself but had Wayne Isham (the director ask her).  And she agreed.

I am neither pro nor con LMP. But perhaps she was, at the time, thinking of a possible future career as a performer in her own right. She later went on to do just that. YANA was good experience and good exposure (absolutely no double meaning implied here) for her if that happened to be the case. As if she had not already pissed off her mother enough with her marriage to Michael, YANA probably sealed that deal. Only a divorce would heal the mother-daughter bond--that's my guess. What's peeking out from the towel thingy???? Well, BJ, you probably shouldn't enlarge the pic anymore. Whatever could be peeking out from the towel thingy was probably already quite large.

She sure got some nice exposure- as did Michael.  I am still not over trying to peak.  You know you have a problem when you catch yourself adjusting your headposition trying to look UNDER the towel thingy...before you realize it is a PICTURE.   (I would be embarrassed, but I am too busy trying to solve if he was naked).

I don't think it's fair to only give us an idea of what is under the stupid cloth. We don't actually know what we are looking at! He should have taken the damn thing of and just used his big hands as cover.... Mmmm...

Suz, it's around 2:30 i the vid... It's after 2 at least... It does look like she says "fuck me"... *getting weak in the knees*

@BJ - Your question--is he or isn't he?--is well worth investigation.  As a partial answer, I found an article from (dare I mention the source?) the New York Post , July 28 , 1995, in which the reporter, Helen Kennedy, claims to paraphrase an article that ran in the Los Angeles Times.  The YANA video was set to premiere that very evening  as part of a 30 minute show, "Michael Jackson Changes History,"  on ABC, MTV and BET.  I could not locate the original LA Times article, so I am forced to quote part of  the NY Post article:

          "The King of Pop came this close to becoming the King of Porn.

          Computer whizzes scrambled to digitally alter a shot in Michael Jackson's new video that
          shows the superstar floating naked in water.

          According to the Los Angeles Times, producers panicked after they discovered the scene
          from the video "You Are Not Alone" shows just a little too much of the 36-year-old singer.

          The offending anatomy was cut from the shot via computer magic, the paper said."

If  you believe that, it is possible that the Maxfield Parrish shots also got a digital touch up.  That could be why, no matter how big you make the picture or how you magnify the questionable section, you still can't tell exactly what you are seeing--except a towel thingy.  Well I am not ABC.  Michael could have freely "offended" me at any time with the anatomical part of my choosing.

P.S.  Helen Kennedy of the NY Post, wherever you are now, you should never use the word "cut"  in the same sentence with a reference to the anatomical part that I think we both have in mind.

 And LMP does appear to be saying that.  (Do you work for the CIA?)  You get just an inkling of a surprised expression coming over Michael's face before the scene cuts out.

I just said this a few days ago and I will say it again, if Michael was my husband and I was in that video I wouldn't need that towel to cover up I could use those very large hands of his.......do you really think she says that in the video, I couldn't blame her if she did. I am with Suz on this one though I love the song but cannot stand to see Lisa in it. I would rather watch him dance with a fan...I cannot get over that interview she gave after the divorce, pretending she didn't know what possessed her to marry him (except to be rebellious) ..Poor Michael how that must have hurt to hear.
Can we discuss "In the closet now" because I love the grinding he did on that, or some "Give into me".

YES exactly! That is what I saw from the start- hence my question.  I, of course, in the interest of research, watched it over and over and over, before bringing this to you, fellow addicts.  And it looks like Mrs Jackson indeed surpirse her husband with a nice invitation to fuck her.  Hey, can't blame her.

I LOVE Michael's smile in reply to her.  I also love how she looks behind herself then is very much aware that the camera probably saw her.  

I can't say I would blame her, but now I got to watch it again just to see that part LOL

I think she liked to tease and shock him and it was probably even more fun in public because she knew how easily embarrassed he got...

I think it was partly for shock, and partly due to wanting him to comply with the request.  I am sure they were nice and fired up.  And maybem JUST maybe, she was also fishing for appropriate 'punishment' (what that would be my pure mind cannot imagine, I just thought I'd through it out there..)

You know I went apoplectic after reading Tholstrup and BJ's posts--until I remembered we were in the Hot Zone.  I'm itching to send someone to the Naughty Chair.  Michael's lap is getting cold!

PJ- pure souls like you have to be very careful into which threads they venture.  Your sensitive system is not used to such hot talk.  Take it easy, girl!

WAS Lisa talking dirty to Michael?? I think so because he did seem like he was embarassed by it in the video.I tell ya Lisa sure does have a fifthy mouth on her doesnt she? LOL

I think he was pretend-embarassed.  My guess is that he was used to it- and even liked it to a degree- when it didn't happen infront of others...

BJ, I want you to know, your post just made me spit my drink out onto my keyboard.  I'm blaming you!

For those of you who have wondered just what went on during that shoot, there is a fictional story in the Danger Zone 200 Volts called "Not Alone."  It follows MJ and LM during the day of the shoot and afterwards and it is scorching hot (and thus totally inappropriate for my innocent eyes)!

What post (scrolling up..)- oh, THAT post.   Well, you should not drink when Michaeling, PJ!
