Michael's Anniversary (1 year gone) - Going to LA?

Hey - Is anybody thinking about going to California?  
I am trying to go this year.  I've dreamt about going and paying my respects to Michael at Forest Lawn on the anniversary of MJ's "going home".  It's been a dream of mine for a while now.  I also feel that going will bring me some closure to the heartache that I still experience from time to time.  I have actually thought about leaving the "fan" sites after Michael's birthday in August.  I don't know, only time will tell, but I did give myself a year to get "back to normal", if there is such a thing.

I think about it all the time... But I don't think I will be able to save up the money. Not while I'm a student with only a part time job. When I think about going, I get so excited. I know how thrilled I got just from seeing my Christmas card lying infront of the doors to his final resting place... It was an awesome feeling! The feeling will mulitply by a million if I were there myself... One can only dream

We may not be together physically but we are all bound by love for each other and our man main Michael. Also check out E Jacobs Thread on the Sony Forum - I think it's something like "coming to LA". She is asking those that aren't coming, to send a photo/letter for Michael - so folks from all over the world will be there on that (sad) day :-).
By the way did you see the Grammy's in your country yet?
Girl get your education 1st ok - Michael wants us all to be the best we can be... I still have lots of work to do on that front LOL

I just saw the MJ tribute and Prince's speech. It was so great! Danish tv haven't shown it yet, but I was able to watch that segment on Youtube.

I wish I could go, but I'm on the opposite end of the country, and paying for two teenagers' educations, so not this year, sadly.    I will send my card, though.

I doubt I will be able to go to LA since I have so much else planned for the year.  I intend to spend the day in meditation and remembrance of him.  It will be a very emotional time for me for sure.

Me, too.  For all of us, I'm sure.  I will do something to remember him, and have a day of quiet reflection.

Aww, who am I kidding, I'll probably spend it looking at Gold Pants and hot crotches, LOL>

My family is going to Yosemite this summer and we are still trying to nail down a date. RIght now we are looking for between June 18 and mid July- so I might be in CA around that time.  We will probably either fly into LA and out of SF or the other way round.  I just have to see if I can finagle it to be in LA without raising too much suspicion from my family about my motives... ;)

For those of you that can make it, bring our thoughts and prayers with you.  We will all be remembering him in one way or another special to each of us, whether it be prayers, meditations, remembrances, or just celebrating a happy day with children, I don't think anyone will let June 25 go by without something.

I think I will find a way to help children that day, above and beyond my normal charitable endeavors.  I feel that would be a great way to memorialize the day for me.  Not sure which yet, but I'm working on it.

No matter what any of us do, there will be lots of tears.

When you said you wanted to get a medal and put it right on your chest, I nearly peed myself.  My sister always used to say, "WHAT DO YOU WANT, A MEDAL OR A CHEST TO PIN IT ON?"  Too Funny!!!  Thumbing Rides, I did that a few times late at night!!!  What an idgit, thank God I wasn't alone, I was with my friend Ronnie!!!

Notice the time on this message!!  I went to bed at 3 am cause I took a loooooooong nap at 6p.    Now I'm up, my cat heard me so she thought it was time to eat!!

Anyway, let's thumb!!!   That's the only way I can afford it too.   I wish I had a volkswagon van, that would be awesome and we could share the driving.  and bring our surfboards!!!!   Anything to honor MJ...(god I miss him)   Oh boy I think about the days my friends and I use to thumb to the beach in Revere and Lynn.   No worries!!!!!,  we were rebels in the 60's and 70's

Ok Suz, if you can think of way you and I could get to California let me know.    Maybe we could have a bake sale and raise money.

i think a bake sale would work to raise money even a car wash  I want to go so bad!!!

Suz and I live only about an hour away,  I think we could manage getting to California....I think thumbing would be our best way!!!
