This is fun! I wish there was more frenchh braid footage. Also, the slicked back style is missing. I guess he only had that for the Herb Ritt shoots and ITC video- but I LOVED that look. I was just gushing over the french braid yesterday and caught flack from my daughter.

I never cared for the short hair that much. And strange, too, because in real life, I like short hair on men. But the guys I am drawn to on tv or film tend to have longer hair. Hm.....
And on Michael, I like the long hair- not matter if it is open and curly, or tied back. |

Yeah, PJ. That video editor was on drugs.
I love that picture of teen Michael with wet hair. I've see it before and I will repeat what somebody else surely said--before Corbin Bleu there was the original teen heart throb in curls. I never got really into the short bob look on Michael. Michael with long hair is probably the best of the styles. And if that long hair is not curly, for my taste, it must be in a french braid or a slick pony tail. |
When it comes to Michael's Hair.....I LOVE all the styles and different ways he wore it. Only Michael can do that, have sooooo many different looks throughout his entire life and be absolutely 'hot', sexy, gorgeous in every one of them. Only our Michael....!!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

LOL@Corbin Bleu, because that is exactly what I thought looking at that photo.
@Forevermichaeljfan, you are right. He looked so good with so many disctinctly different looks. @angel-watcher, the slicked back look is almost too much beauty for me. You can see the curve of his jawline, his beautifully arching eyebrows, his full lips, and those eyes...he is just overwhelmingly beautiful. I just melt! |
OOOOoooooooo! Stop it! The same images had crossed my mind with a similar reaction.

I've never liked this hair on him.... It's bit too feminine for my taste. I think it's the size of the curls that turns me off.

You point out an oversight on my part and your observation is correct. That is why I probably feel that the longer hair needs to be pulled back in a ponytail or french braid. That is not a face meant to be covered.

Tholstrup, I actually like that particular style on him. I don't think he looked too feminine there. Now, there are a few other instances where my mouth just hung open in wonder at who thought that look was a good idea:
His hair is stringy, his makeup is all wrong, he sounds congested, and he seems like he really doesn't want to be there. Poor Michael! Now before you get up in arms, I adore the SIM video. I just think his hair and makeup were rather on the feminine side except for the scenes where he gets his hair wet. In that scene and in most of the "making of" video, he looks much more masculine. His hair actually looks short after he gets it wet. It is also somewhat slicked back from his face, revealing his jawline, which I like a lot. |

PJ - I think you've put your finger on it. It's those lashes. Time to confess: They made me squirm just a bit when I first saw that video--which by the way is beautifully shot. (Aside: I love that song--Armegeddon of the brain" says so much in four words. And I gotta love a gorgeous wet Michael. ) To tell the truth, I had made an assumption that one or both of his auto-immune conditions had made him lose his lashes and that was why he started wearing the fake ones. Even so, those were a bit too long and fem for my taste.
