The Cherry Picker Makes Me Nervous

He was rather reckless with the cherry picker, esp. at 5:20.  If he were doing that in TII, then I could understand KO's comments.  (But he wasn't.  It was moving at Florida retireee speed limit.  A turtle could have run faster.

Michael used to be VERY reckless on that thing. I am afraid of heights, so it always gives me a funny feeling to see him hanging off the cherry picker. And it was dangerous- it was calibrated just for him. You know what comes now.... the video of the crazy fan jumping on. There is also one where someone put captions (it's very funny). Oh yes: and then KO's comment on TII. I will NEVER understand it. Especially, since Kenny was with Michael in the "hanging off the cherry picker" days.

Well, if you think 5:20 on the first Earth Song video looks risky--there he has both feet tucked behind him and the toes could have been stuck under a restraining bar that I can't see--at 5:37 one leg is freely hanging down.  But hanging on to the crazy fan while performing topped them all.  
You are right--Michael did like to push the envelope a bit with that cherry picker.  I guess KO was trying to tamp down MJ's enthusiasm before he even got started playing around on that thing.

The Cherry Picker Lunatic video makes me laugh every time I see it because dude just DID NOT CARE!  He was so high, all he cared about was being up there with Michael.  Thoughts of his own safety or mortality never entered his head.  Michael is all trying to get him to hold on so he won't have to do all the work and the guy just kept throwing his arms up riding that wave of euphoria!  LOL!

He is not that high up on this one, but 5:05 still makes me gasp slightly.   I don't care if he did have a foothold on that thing, him hanging off like that with sweaty hands just makes me nervous.

Oh, and loving the open shirt!

Again, it's a wonder he never fell off!

I have to say that I found it very comforting and kind of turn on that Michael protected the fans who had temporary moments of insanity  by hoping on the  Cherry Picker.. To me it was like he was saying "don't worry I've got You""  (sigh). Can you Imagine Michael holding on to you instead of the other way around even for a moment. True Bliss. So fearless. So sexy

Yes MissD71, placing my life in Michael's hands would be exhilarating!

It looks like he was pretending to be a bird and dropping all over the audience.

Pj, that picture makes me want to reach out- and pick cherries.  What a view!  I forgot all about the danger, I was distracted....by the solid globes of Michael's - lights of course- the lights on the cherry picker.
